What am I training for?

This seasons training has transformed without intentions that I have set forth. I guess the team is in control of our destiny now. We have been doing short runs, around 20 miles. I must say that it has been fun, fast and something I'm not used to. I don't know if these dogs are capable of competing with sprint dogs but this is the fastest that I've travelled by dog team in my career. So when it comes down to it, I'm really not doing anything different, it's all an experiment. Which means it's going to take a couple a human generations to be a true tested team. It's SO fun what we do and that is what the dogs want in their 'now'.

I've posted some photo's of our cabin. We don't have anyone living in it now and I am just using it to store gear. I would like to make it available for anyone that's training a team of dogs, especially if they are training for the Peninsula Panoramic. This would be a great opportunity for a team to come check out the trails in the South Caribou Hills. Just give us a call a couple of days ahead of time. Happy Trails!!
